About the Author:

Anne-Sophie Baumann studied science and literature; working for several years as an editor before writing her own nonfiction books for children. Through her books, she tries to help children acquire knowledge on subjects as diverse as construction equipment to the fauna and flora of the countryside. She lives near Paris with her two children.

About the Illustrator:

Didier Balicevic graduated from the prestigious school of Les Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg. He traveled and spent a lot of time in England and Scotland before laying down his hat in Paris, where he now works regularly for children’s books and magazines. He has also illustrated The Ultimate Book of Vehicles.
