Overview

Toby and the Tricky Things (Nosy Crow Picture Book – Hardcover)

Toby is no longer a little elephant. He’s a Big Boy now, much bigger than baby sister Iris. He can pour his own milk, read his own bedtime stories, and even reach the snacks high on the “just for mummies” shelf. But some things are still very tricky even when you’re big. And when Mummy is too busy with Iris to help him, Toby ends up with bad buttons, wrong wellies and loo paper everywhere! Then Toby gets very cross…

Reviews:

“This is a reassuring story to share with older siblings; they are still loved and cared for and mummies are always there for them.” – Parents in Touch

About the Author:

Lou Peacock is lucky enough to have one of the best jobs in the world: “Head of Picture books” at Nosy Crow. She has a degree in English literature from Oxford University, and nearly twenty years’ experience in children’s publishing. She started her editorial career working on novelty books and poetry, but has focussed on picture books, her one true love, for the last 15 years. She often puts her author hat on to write picture books for Nosy Crow and has a notebook full of scribbled ideas. Christine Pym (Illustrator) Christine was born a little before midnight on New Year’s Eve in 1984. She has always loved books and as a child could be found trying her best to draw just like Beatrix Potter. She went on to study Illustration for Children’s Publishing at the North East Wales School of Art and has been illustrating since she left in 2006. Christine has created illustrations for children’s books, cards, toys and clothing with companies based in the UK, US, France and Australia. She lives and works in a Post Office in the Peak District with her partner Ste and Yorkshire terrier, Suzie.
